Building automation commissioning for a recreation center

Commission the integrated systems of a planned 65,000-square-foot, all-electric recreation center with geothermal heating and cooling.
The work
- Design reviews, construction checks, functional testing, training review, and final documentation for HVAC, building automation, lighting controls, and metering (PDF pages 7–9).
- Substantial completion is targeted for April 2028. The RFP states a two-year initial award with a possible one-year renewal (page 5).
Before you pursue it
- At least five years of BAS commissioning experience on buildings of 50,000 square feet or more, geothermal and integrated-controls experience, and qualified certified staff (page 9).
- Submit one electronic PDF through the county’s bid 8919 submission link. Include three comparable projects from the last five years, team, approach, schedule, references, pricing disclosures, and required signed forms (pages 6, 9, 19, 24).
- The August 27 pre-bid meeting was explicitly non-mandatory (page 2).
The RFP says 2:00 pm EST; confirm the intended time zone with the issuer. Review the complete RFP, sample contract, local preference provisions, and later addenda. No commissioning fee budget is stated.
